This is puported to be a WW2 embroidered felt formation sign badge to the 24th INDIAN INFANTRY BRIGADE (Jon Mills BoBD M10) in excellent condition. The description as set out in Jon Mills book is as follows:- “The winged Lion of St Mark has been attributedto 24th Indian Infantry Brigade which originally served with 6th Indian Division until it dispersed in October 1944, the 24th remaining as an independent brigade in Persia, Lebanon and Syria until disbanding in Aleppo in January 1946. It is possible that this sign was worn by the independent brigade.”
